Cascade Premium Back in 375ml bottles

MAX BURSLEM STATEMENT - 20 FEB

I’m very happy to tell you that Cascade Premium Lager is back in a 375ml stubby.

We've changed the stubby back because many of our drinkers told us that they liked the new look, but preferred the 375ml stubby. We had updated the Cascade brand in late 2007 to refresh the range of beers and also bring them in line with our imported competitors.

We've listened to our beer drinkers, made the changes and now the 375ml stubby is back.

And, while the Cascade Premium stubby increases from 330ml to 375ml, the equivalent of almost three extra bottles per case of 24, the wholesale and recommended retail price (RRP) remain the same.

We’re excited to return our Tasmanian classic to a 375ml stubby for our passionate drinkers. It’s a top quality beer and we want it to be enjoyed for years to come.

Throughout 2009, you will also see the remaining Cascade beers that changed to 330ml stubbies return to a 375ml stubby nationally.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Cascade Pale Ale Back in 375ml bottles

I'm delighted to tell you that our Cascade Pale Ale is changing back to a 375ml twist-top bottle in Tasmania.

We recently introduced the Cascade Pale Ale 330ml bottle with a pry-off top driven by consumer research suggesting it was the right thing to do.

We got it wrong; Cascade Pale Ale drinkers want more of their favourite beer in a 375ml twist top bottle.

We listened to our passionate drinkers and are happy to announce that Cascade Pale Ale will be available in the 375ml twist top bottle in Tasmania in early November with the rest of Australia to follow during 2009.

Even better - the Cascade Pale Ale inside the bottles hasn't changed, no matter what the bottle size is. Cascade Pale Ale has always been a Tasmanian favourite - it's considered to be the original Cascade brew and is Australia's oldest continuously brewed beer.

What about the other Cascade beers that shifted to 330ml?

Cascade beer drinkers are very passionate about their beer; we have received considerable feedback from drinkers and are in the process of evaluating our decision and we are planning to make an announcement in the near future.

When will the 375ml stubbie be available in the rest of Australia?

We’re ensuring Cascade Pale Ale is available 375ml twist top bottles in its home state first from the 28th October, and we’ll be supplying 375ml twist top bottle to the rest of Australia during 2009.

What else will change?

Nothing, the only thing changing is the bottle size. There will be no change to the taste or ingredients of Cascade Pale Ale.

Will the price go up with the change?

Cascade does not set retail pricing however the wholesale pricing remains the same, the bottle again offers the same value as a 375ml Pale Ale can.
